What web accessibility is

To help make the Kendall Rae’s Green Heart website a positive experience for everyone, we have been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, which explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user-friendly for everyone. The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level A as the target for the NH Center for Nonprofits website.

We have also taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:

• Images have the appropriate alternative text.

• Our site is fully functional using a keyboard alone.

• Our site is compatible with modern screen readers.

Conformance status

Kendall Rae’s Green Heart site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level A. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are working hard to achieve and maintain our goal of Level A accessibility; we realize, however, that there are still some areas that need improvement. We will prioritize those issues that have the highest impact for most users.
